WebClarity releases BookWhere 5.0
Barrie, Ontario – March 22, 2006 - WebClarity Software Inc. announced today the General Release of BookWhere version 5.0. This release is another step on WebClarity’s quest to provide its library customers with exceptional software tools for the technical services department that are complimentary to any Library System, improve workflow and provide exceptional value.
The most exciting BookWhere yet! This latest version of BookWhere includes character set support for UNICODE™, MARC-8 (ALA) and Latin-1 encoded records; an all new Choose Databases Window for selecting your favourite libraries and managing database groups; a powerful new batch search capability including reporting of unmatched keys; and a host of other time saving optimizations for the busy cataloguer.
Customers who pair BookWhere with MARC Notepad’s ability to perform edits quickly and easily with just a few clicks can truly streamline the copy cataloguing process using records from many different sources.
BookWhere 5.0 is well integrated with the recently released MARC Notepad 2.1. Together these products will broaden WebClarity’s ability to deliver the same high quality, time tested tools they are known for to the widest possible geography. Libraries that have invested in next generation, UNICODE™ compliant library management systems, will be able view and edit records (requires MARC Notepad) originating with MARC-8 encoding (i.e. ALA Character set) with the security of knowing they that they will be able to export those records to their system with their chosen encoding.
BookWhere 5.0 is covered by WebClarity’s exceptional maintenance program that not only provides email and telephone access to technical support, but provides organizations with protection of their Software investment.
