Customer NewsLargest Public Library in Canada Chooses EventsToronto Public Library (TPL) began a search in 2007 for a more effective way to gather, manage, and distribute information about the vast number of programs and events that occur throughout their 99-branch system.... “We are very happy with the Events solution and how it will facilitate the effective management and delivery of program and events listings from across our multiple-branch system,” states Dawn Charlton, Manager, Marketing and Communications. “Our patrons will be able to find information much more readily.” One Place to Look: King Township Public Library's Community CalendarThe Community Calendar provides a place where the Library and local non-profit community groups can post upcoming events. Many of these groups have since joined with the Library and have started posting their events to the calendar. ... We are very pleased with our purchase and know it has brought us closer to goal of truly being community-centered. The welcome value of BookWhere and MARC Notepad... plus an unexpected bonusWe needed to replace our ITS.MARC subscription because it was just too costly for our small library. We investigated some solutions and decided to go with BookWhere and MARC Notepad. Although the original purpose was simply to save money on our English titles, we found an added and unexpected benefit: we were able to find and download many of our French titles, too (sourced mainly from our fellow franco-ontarian libraries). I wouldn't have been able to automate my library without BookWhereAlong with the usual fare for private high school reading, Christian Brothers has a unique selection of materials on St. John Baptist de La Salle, the French educator who is the patron saint of teachers and founder of the De La Salle Christian Brothers Order….
