How to Start a Webinar
We use Cisco’s Webex Web conferencing solution. The video portion is done all online, and for the audio we make use of their teleconferencing service.System Requirements
- Internet Explorer 6/7/8 or Firefox 2/3.x or Chrome 4
- JavaScript and cookies enabled
- Recommend ActiveX be enabled for Internet Explorer
- Intel or AMD processor (1GHz or faster)
- At least 512 MB RAM (at least 2 GB RAM for Vista)
- Netbooks running Windows XP also supported
To join the webinar:
- Go to Webclarity’s webex site: webclarity.webex.com.
- Select from the available conference’s the one that you are scheduled for and hit “join”.
- In the form on the right hand side, enter the required information, then hit “join”.
- Wait while the meeting in progress page loads the Webex application.
- You will be given 2 options to join the conference:
- Using a telephone, dial the 1-4xx toll free number in the small window. When prompted, enter the access code and the attendee I.D. You should now be connected.
- Using a PC Headset, click the arrow on the small window and expand the headset option. Click the “Call using computer” button and follow the on screen commands to set up your microphone. You should now be connected.
