How do I find databases which specialize in certain types of material such as Large Print, or Digital Media?

BookWhere is able to identify databases based on their ’scope notes’. These are always being improved and updated automatically during the weekly AutoSync process for current customers. This page outlines a procedure for creating a Database Group of libraries who catalog LARGE PRINT materials. Use this group in your searches when you catalog this type of material to optimize your search success!
  1. From the BookWhere menu, select Actions–>Choose Databases
  2. Type LARGE PRINT in the Keyword(s) box
  3. You will be presented with a wide range of libraries that were suggested by customers that catalog LARGE PRINT materials.

  4. You can also create a Group to hold these databases very easily by:

    1. Select the Libraries you wish to add to the Group.
    2. From the dropdown menu click on Add to Group–>New Group and give it a name like LARGE PRINT
    3. This will provide you with one-click access to select these particular libraries to perform your searches. Use this feature to quickly locate even the most difficult types of material!
