Nassau Library System selects BookWhere to provide high quality records
Located on New York’s Long Island, the Nassau Library System is composed of 54 autonomous member libraries. All of the public libraries in the county belong to the System, whose purpose is to support and strengthen member libraries and to facilitate resource sharing.
In keeping with that goal, the Nassau Library System wanted to find a more cost-effective way to perform copy-cataloging. After investigating various options, Database Management Head Michele Zwierski chose BookWhere. She and her team like its many rich features and its large selection of databases.
“We find the quantity and quality of matching records excellent. Editing on BookWhere is very easy and quick.” They are making full use of the analysis panel to narrow down searches and to select the best matches for their searches, and they like editing MARC records easily with macros.
