The Town of Hudson, NH, is located on the east bank of the Merrimack River. The Town was originally located in Massachusetts as part of Dunstable and Nottingham but became part of New Hampshire in 1746. Many of its 25,000 residents work in Boston, MA. The George H. and Ella M. Rodgers Memorial Library is the latest incarnation of the public library in Hudson and had its grand opening in 2009. The Town’s first free public library was established in March 1893 in a private home. It was known as the Greeley Public Library after receiving a bequest from a local doctor. In 1909, after another bequest, the Town dedicated its new Hills Memorial Library.
