Del Norte Library District saving money with BookWhere Suite

By switching to BookWhere Suite to address their MARC record needs, Del Norte District Library in California expects to save over $7700 per year over what they were paying. That means a lot to a Library serving a small community with a limited budget and a small staff.

Initially they anticipated using the software for just copy cataloging, but have found that it will also reduce significantly the need for original cataloging. BookWhere Suite provides access to a wealth of databases the Library can search within. As a result staff are able to locate quickly and easily a near-match record, edit it to make it a precise match and then batch upload all records into their Koha ILS. So, not only will it save them tangible dollars every year in software costs, but also in staff time.
